White Clam

1. General information: - Commercial name: WHITE CLAM - Latin name: Meretrix Lyrata - Origin: Vietnam - Method and place of production: Caught at FAO area 61, 71, Pacific Ocean. 2. Raw material quality sources: - Fresh, washed, and inspected clams of the species Meretrix lyrata. Product shall possess characteristic flavor, odor, texture, and color for the specie. Product shall be alive at the time of cooking. Raw material clams shall be harvested from areas: Thanhphu, Batri, Binhdai (Bentre province), Tanthanh (Tienggiang province), Cangio (Hochiminh city), Duyenhai (Tra Vinh province). These areas are strictly controlled by NAFIQAD with program approved by EU commission and the origin will be recorded and controlled when received at the factory. Product shall not be harvested during closures due to DSP, PSP, ASP or any other public health closure. - Raw material shall not exceed FDA & EU guidelines and, action levels, or established tolerances for environmental chemical contamination, pesticides, or antibiotics. All low regulatory priority drugs shall be utilized in accordance with proper withdrawal times, or other label conditions. - White clam naturally lives inshore of the Pacific Ocean, during the high tidal period of time (Which is twice a month based on lunar year), when tidal is fully down, fishermen catch then transport to factory by boat with transit time from 6 - 8 hours, all clam must be alive when arrive factory and must be accompanied with the certificate of origin issued by the local harvestingn control agency specify the name of harvest, date of harvest, the quantity and the area harvested. 3. Supply stability: Whole year round. 4. GMO status: Clam is free from GMO.
